Briston Streamliner Skeleton : Masterpiece Reimagine

After seven years of handling their signature design: The Clubmaster with specific shape: The Cambered-Square, Briston now announced that that their new line features a totally new shape: with a cambered-barrel shape, opening the possibilities scope and allowing all promising areas and form of expression: The Streamliner.

This new design is the purest combination of watchmaking excellence and love for design and beautiful objects inspired by the Streamliner style in 1930. Briston then borrows its pure lines with a cambered-barrel shape case and give add ons such as Smoked Acetateand Brushed Steel-42-mm case, interchangeable 2-part straps, and a 3-layer black dial open to a skeleton automatic movement. With its dynamic and fluid design, the Streamliner 42x42 mm case was developed to provide a maximum comfort around your wrist.

Crafted with new smoked acetate or in stainless steel, the cut sections characterise and enhance the case curve. For this purpose, Briston innovates with three new smoked acetate, the overall black, blue, and brown acetate case, with a choice of selection of black dials or silver dials. A particular attention is paid to steel and rose gold PVD versions as the flanks, decorated with a mirror polishing finishing, adding light and contrasting with the case body which is vertically brushed finished. The angles are also bevelled one by one to ensure a perfect result.

To balance with the case lines, this new model’s complexity lies in its dials, composed of three superimposed layers, consist of: a black PVD or steel w with a “circular brushed” decoration and hollowed-out numerals as the first layer, a transparent middle layer with the indications BRISTON, Automatic as well as an applied small-second and the last layer in PVD gun treatment or steel with a “Côte de Genève” decoration.

The delicate work on the dial is harmoniously completed by baton-shaped hands that are both skeleton and fitted with white, blue or orange Superluminova® inserts. Featuring a small-seconds at 5 o’clock, this movement sublimates the work on the dial. The transparent back of the case provides an unobstructed view of this caliber, specially equipped with a skeleton oscillating weight, offering a contemporary version anchored into the DNA of this collection.

Other than the case and dials, Briston also introduce its first two-parts vintage leather straps, that specifically developed by Briston. With this new technology, the straps are easily equipped with a quick pin presto system that allows the strap to be changed & to keep the interchangeability so dear to the brand. It is completed by an interchangeable 2-part strap in different colors like Matt Black, Matt Black Vintage leather with Blue Stitching, grey Vintage leather with blue stitching, Chocolate Vintage Leather or in Brown Vintage leather with Orange, all depending on the colour of the case.

Finally, the new automatic movement that is used in this watch is Miyota 8N40, watch as two silver-tone hands move around the skeleton dial, complete with a chronograph sub-dial. Available now in here
